  • 06/24/14 Hernandez and McLaughlin Named Honorable Mention on USL PRO TOW

    TAMPA, Fla. – USL PRO named its Team of the Week for Week 14 of the 2014 season on Tuesday as Sacramento Republic FC midfielder Rodrigo Lopez was named Player of the Week. Lopez scored twice and added an assist as Republic FC took a 4-3 victory against the Colorado Rapids Reserves in front of a sold-out crowd of 8,000 fans as Sacramento opened its new home at Bonney Field Friday night.

  • 06/23/14 Isles Fall 0-1 vs. MLS Side Montreal

    MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact topped USL side Harrisburg City Islanders 1-0 on Friday afternoon, at Stade Saputo, in reserve league action. Midfielder Felipe scored the winning goal in the first half.
    Maxim Tissot, making a deep run down the left flank, played the ball back to the top of the box with a low cross, where Felipe sliced a one-timer to the far post in the 19th minute.

  • 06/19/14 Isles to Take on Montreal Impact of MLS

    (Harrisburg, PA) On Friday June 20, the City Islanders will hit the road and travel to CS Claude-Robillard to take on Major League Soccer’s Montreal Impact.  These teams have yet to square off this season, and the Islanders, having only won one of their last three matches, hope this match will be a nice addition to their win list.

  • 06/19/14 Isles Fall to Union in Overtime, Eliminated from US Open Cup

    (Philadelphia, PA) The Harrisburg City Islanders run at the 2014 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup ended Tuesday night, June 17, at PPL Park.  They fell to their Major League Soccer affiliate, the Philadelphia Union, by a 3-1 margin.

    This fourth-round match of the US Open cup was an intense display from both clubs’ offenses as well as vigorous defensive play.

  • 06/17/14 Islanders Face Union in US Open Cup

    (Harrisburg, PA)- On Tuesday, July 17 the Harrisburg City Islanders will travel to Philadelphia, PA to take on their MLS affiliate Philadelphia Union at PPL Park. It will mark the second competitive meeting between the clubs.
    The Isles’ fell to the Union in the only non-friendly meeting between the affiliates in the 2012 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup quarter final match by a score of 5-2.

  • 06/17/14 Keystone Derby Ends in Scoreless Draw

    (Harrisburg, PA)  On Saturday June 14, the Harrisburg City Islanders and Pittsburgh Riverhounds played to a 0-0 draw to close out the Keystone Derby. This third and final meeting of these teams took place at Skyline Sports Complex at 7pm in front of a crowd of 1,780.
    After an match full of extremely physical play, neither team could connect with the net to take the victory.

  • 06/12/14 Isles Host Riverhounds in Keystone Derby Finale

    (HARRISBURG, PA)– The Harrisburg City Islanders will welcome the Pittsburgh Riverhounds to Skyline Sports Complex for the final leg of the Keystone Derby on Saturday, June 14 at 7:00 PM. The match will conclude the three match series against the Riverhounds and will mark Pittsburgh’s only trip to Harrisburg this season.

  • 06/12/14 Isles defeat Riverhounds 3-1 in Pittsburgh

    PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Harrisburg City Islanders took a 3-1 victory in the second leg of the Keystone Derby at Highmark Stadium Wednesday night. After a 45-minute rain delay, second-half goals from Clesio Bauque and Yann Ekra proved to be the difference as the City Islanders claimed their third win of the USL PRO season.

  • 06/11/14 Isles Take on Riverhounds in Round Two of Keystone Derby

    Isles look for first win in Keystone Derby
    (HARRISBURG, PA)- The Harrisburg City Islanders are scheduled to return to Pittsburgh to face off against the Riverhounds Wednesday, June 11. The match is the second of the three-match Keystone Derby with the Riverhounds over a two-week span. Kick-off is set for 7:00 PM at the Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA.

  • 06/11/14 City Islanders Acquire Shane Johnson on Loan from Kickers

    The Richmond Kickers have loaned defenseman Shane Johnson to the Islanders for the remainder of the 2014 season. Johnson has appeared in seven matches for the third-place Kickers this season and looks to make an immediate impact as the Isles enter tough week where they will play three matches, the first being tomorrow’s visit to Pittsburgh.

    TAMPA, Fla. – USL PRO named its Team of the Week for Week 12 of the 2014 season on Tuesday as Orlando City midfielder Brian ‘Cobi’ Span was named Player of the Week after his pair of goals led the Lions to a 2-1 victory against the Montreal Impact Reserves on Saturday night at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

    City Islanders set to face Richmond again on the Road
    (HARRISBURG, PA)- The Richmond Kickers will host the Harrisburg City Islanders Saturday, June 7 at City Stadium. The last time the teams squared off, they met at Skyline Sports Complex in a close game in which two of the match’s five goals were scored within the four minutes of added stoppage time.

    TAMPA, Fla. – USL PRO named its Team of the Week for Week 11 of the 2014 season on Tuesday as OKC Energy FC midfielder Michael Thomas was named Player of the Week after his stoppage-time goal earned his side a 1-0 victory against the New York Red Bulls Reserves on Saturday night.

  • 05/31/14 Isles Fall to Kickers, 2-3

    (Harrisburg, PA)- The Harrisburg City Islanders took on the Richmond Kickers at the Skyline Sports Complex in front of a crowd of 2,233 in what was a showcase of intense play by both sides. With over four minutes of stoppage time added to the match, the Kickers ended up on top, outscoring the Isles 3-2.
     
    In the first half of play, the Islanders struggled offensively.

  • 05/29/14 Isles Advance to US Open Cup Fourth Round

    Islanders Defeat Baltimore Bohemians, will Face Union in Fourth Round

     
    (Towson, MD)- The Harrisburg City Islanders were victorious over the Baltimore Bohemians by a score of 4-2 in the Lamar Hunt US Open third round Wednesday night at Calvert Hall College High School.
    Harrisburg came out aggressive and set the tone early in the match with an 8th minute goal from Morgan Langley.

    Harrisburg, PA (May 17, 2014): The Harrisburg City Islanders (2-4-1) defeated the Dayton Dutch Lions  (2-4-2) Saturday afternoon at Skyline Sports Complex by a 5-3 margin.  The match featured 25 shots and plenty of action to keep fans entertained throughout the 90 minutes.

    (Whitehall, PA)- The Harrisburg City Islanders were victorious over the Lehigh Valley United Sonic by a score of 4-0 in the Lamar Hunt US Open second round Wednesday night at Whitehall High School.
    Both teams went into halftime scoreless, but Harrisburg dominated possession.
