  • 10/18/16 Jose Barril named to 2016 USL All-League 2nd Team

    TAMPA, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today its 2016 USL All-League Teams, honoring the top performers from the 2016 USL Regular Season. The New York Red Bulls II and FC Cincinnati each garnered multiple selections on the All-League First Team, as the regular season champions and standout expansion club’s players shone throughout the season.

    MONTREAL – The Harrisburg City Islanders took a 3-1 victory against FC Montreal on Saturday afternoon at the Complexe Sportif Claude-Robillard in the final game of the 2016 USL regular season for both clubs. Both sides had chances in the first half.

    With only two games remaining on the season City is facing the real possibility of missing out on the USL postseason for the second time in as many seasons.

  • 09/11/16 Islanders Host Final Match of 2016 at Pucillo Field Saturday!

    The Islanders will host their final home match of the season on September 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Pucillo Field. All season tickets will be honored and individual general admission tickets purchased in advance from Clipper Magazine Stadium will be refunded.
    Fans will have the option to purchase $5 tickets in advance or at the gate at Millersville University.

    Harrisburg, PA (August 30, 2016) – Craig Foster’s two goals helped fuel City Islanders FC’s comeback to stay undefeated in the season series against Bethlehem Steel FC Tuesday night at FNB Field in front of 1,362 fans.
    Foster both started and finished the scoring in the game with two skillful runs into the box that placed him one-on-one with the keeper both times.

    City Islanders FC will look to complete the season series sweep against their in-state rival Bethlehem Steel FC Tuesday, August 30 at 7 p.m.

    The Islanders have beaten the Steel twice already this season. One at home and one on the road in the team’s first season of play.

    In their first match up the Islanders grabbed the inaugural victory in Lancaster by a final score of 3-1.

    City currently holds a slight lead in the season series against their in-state rivals.

    VAUGHAN, Ontario – The Harrisburg City Islanders’ Jose Barril tallied midway through the second half to lead his side to a 1-0 road victory against Toronto FC II on Sunday at the Ontario Soccer Centre. With the win, Harrisburg takes the season series, having also earned a 2-1 victory on May 24. Toronto posted a 4-2 win on July 10 during the three-game season series.

    Paul Wilson is an international football player from May Penn, Jamaica.  Wilson began his soccer career with Portmore United FC in Jamaica in 2009, playing for their youth team.  He continued with Portmore’s senior team scoring a total of 7 goals and winning half of all the matches he appeared in.

    City and the Red Bulls met earlier in the season with New York taking a narrow 1-0 win in Red Bull Arena.
