  • 04/29/16 Warshaw’s Red Card Upheld by Appeals Committee

    Harrisburg, PA (April 29, 2016) – The Appeals Committee announced today that they have upheld the red card issued to City Islanders FC captain Bobby Warshaw in the 83rd minute of the team’s 2-1 win over Orlando City B.
    Warshaw was issued a red card for a dangerous play when he attempted a bicycle kick and connected with Orlando defender Keegan Smith.

    Harrisburg, PA (April 25, 2016) – Nick Noble faced a barrage of shots in City Islanders FC’s first victory at home of the 2016 season in a heated 2-1 match up against Orlando City B.
    Shane Johnson got the game winner and his first goal of the year to give the Islanders their first lead on City Island this season. Noble was huge in preserving the win and the three points at home.

    MELBOURNE, Fla. – Cardel Benbow scored the lone goal in the 60th minute to lead the Harrisburg City Islanders to a 1-0 victory against Orlando City B on Saturday at the Titan Soccer Complex.
    Harrisburg earned its first win of the season, improving to 1-2-0 (3 points) while Orlando dropped to 0-2-1 (1 point).

  • 04/08/16 POSTPONED: First Keystone Derby match called off due to weather

    Harrisburg, PA (April 8, 2016) – The United Soccer League has agreed to postpone Saturday’s game between the Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Harrisburg City Islanders at Highmark Stadium in anticipation of extreme weather conditions expected to sweep through Western Pennsylvania this weekend
    The game has been rescheduled to Sunday 17 July. Kickoff will be announced at a later date.

    Harrisburg, PA (April 5, 2016) – Liam Doyle, a 2016 MLS SuperDraft pick, joins the City Islanders Football Club for the 2016 season following a successful career at Ohio State University.
    Professional Experience
    On January 19, 2016, Doyle was selected 67th overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft by D.C. United.  However, after trialing with the club he was not signed.

    Harrisburg, PA (April 4, 2016) – The Keystone Derby Cup between City Islanders Football Club and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds just grew even larger with the addition of two big sponsors to the season series in 2016.
    Today the Islanders announced that K&L Gates and the Pennsylvania Lottery have signed on as the official sponsors of the cross-state rivalry.

  • 04/02/16 Islanders Announce Signing of Former NY Cosmos GK, Barbados National Team Player Keasel Broome

    Harrisburg, PA (April 2, 2016) – Keasel Broome joins the Islanders this season following a season with the New York Cosmos and the Barbados national football team in 2015.
    Broome was selected in the 3rd Round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by the San Jose Earthquakes but was ultimately not signed. On April 1, 2015 Broome signed with NASL club New York Cosmos.

    RICHMOND, Va. – Michael Callahan and Jason Yeisley each scored first-half goals and Yudai Imura added a second-half tally as the Richmond Kickers earned a 3-1 victory against the Harrisburg City Islanders at City Stadium on Saturday, the second day of the USL Kickoff Weekend.

  • 03/26/16 MATCH PREVIEW: Isles open 2016 USL season in Richmond

    The City Islanders will kick-off their 2016 campaign at City Stadium Saturday, March 25 when they take on one of their Eastern conference rivals, the Richmond Kickers at 5 p.m.
    Last year Richmond and City met three times at the tail end of the season. Each team was able to grab a win at home plus a 1-1 draw on City Island. A total of 13 goals were scored in the three games.

    Harrisburg, PA (March 26, 2016) – Thomas joins the Islanders after spending the 2015 season with Eastern Conference rival, New York Red Bulls II.

    2015 (NYRB II): Thomas signed with the New York Red Bulls II for the 2015 season and made his debut as a starter for the team in its first ever match on March 28, 2015.

  • 03/25/16 Islanders Sign Former Jamaican National Team Forward Paul Wilson

    Harrisburg, PA (March 25, 2016) – The Islanders welcome former Jamaican National Team forward Paul Wilson to the squad for the 2016 season.
    Wilson began his career with Portmore United FC, representing the U-15 team. He then went on to represent the club at the U-17, U-20, and U-21 levels as well as the senior team.
