    For the second year in a row the Harrisburg City Islanders will be playing in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup after taking down Reading United A.C.
    The last time the teams met in the tournament Reading pulled the upset and sent Harrisburg packing.

    Islander’s Dante Leverock named to the USL Team of the Week and Ken Tribbett named honorable mention following a 2-0 victory against the Charlotte Indepedence. Leverock and Tribbett controlled the back field against the Independence helping to extend their unbeaten streak to five straight matches and remain undefeated at home.

    HARRISBURG, PA (May 16, 2015) – The Harrisburg City Islanders (4-2-1) cruised to victory over the Charlotte Independence (2-3-2) after a pair of first half scores secured a 2-0 win. Skyline Sports Complex hosted 2,167 fans as the Islanders extended their unbeaten streak to five straight matches and remain undefeated at home.

    Harrisburg – After a successful road stint the Harrisburg City Islanders finally return home to face the Charlotte Independence on City Island this Saturday, May 16th at 7 p.m.
    After dropping the first two games of the season the Islanders have rallied to go undefeated in their last four and have catapulted themselves into the top four in the USL Eastern Conference standings.

    05/10/15 Stoppage-Time Goal Pushes Islanders Past NYRB II

    HARRISON, N.J. – The Harrisburg City Islanders claimed their second consecutive victory as a stoppage-time goal lifted them to a 2-1 win against the New York Red Bulls II on Saturday afternoon at Red Bull Arena. An own-goal by Konrad Plewa proved the difference, after the teams exchanged goals in the first half.
    The teams were off to the races from the sound of the first whistle.

    05/09/15 Union loanees McLaughlin, Catic and Lee ready for today’s match against NY Red Bull

    The Harrisburg City Islanders announced today that the club has added three loanees from the Philadelphia Union, the team’s official MLS affiliate, for their match against the New York Red Bulls II.
    Forwards Jimmy McLaughlin and Dzenan Catic will join the club for Friday’s game along with defenseman Raymond Lee. This will be Lee’s first regular season game with the Islanders.

    The Harrisburg City Islanders will end their longest road stint of the season against the New York Red Bulls II this Saturday, May 2 at 2 p.m. in Red Bulls Arena.
    Harrisburg was able to pick up their first road win of the season against Wilmington last week in their most impressive outing of the season. That was the third game in a row that the Islanders were able to collect points.

    Harrisburg City Islanders rookie defender, Ken Tribbett, was named to the USL’s Team of the Week on Tuesday after leading the Islanders to a 4-0 win against Wilmington by scoring his first two professional goals.

    Wilmington, NC – The Harrisburg City Islanders took a 4-0 victory over Wilmington Hammerheads FC at Legion Stadium on Saturday night. Kenny Tribbett scored his first two professional goals to lead Harrisburg to its second win of the season.
    Hammerheads forward Sunny Jane was quick on his feet to start the first half, and had an early shot that went wide.

    HARRISBURG, PA- The Harrisburg City Islanders and Ocean City Nor’easters are pleased to announce their second professional team tryout for May 10th. Tryouts are open to all experienced soccer players who compete collegiately, professionally or internationally.
    The tryout will take place at Tennessee Avenue Soccer Complex in Ocean City, New Jersey on Sunday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    Harrisburg – The Harrisburg City Islanders will once again be playing in hostile territory when they travel to Legion Stadium to take on the Wilmington Hammerheads this Saturday, May 2 at 7 p.m.
    It will be the second straight road game for the Islanders. They were able to pick up their first point on the road in Charlotte, but are still searching for their first road win.
