  • 07/05/16 City Islanders Return to Clipper Magazine Stadium July 8 & 10

    After returning from the western front of the state City Islanders FC will return to Lancaster for a pair of critical games in Clipper Magazine Stadium on Friday, July 8 and Sunday, July 10.
    Lancaster has been good to the Islanders this year. Both of their matches this season and last were high scoring affairs that helped the Islanders build momentum and string together wins.

    PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Harrisburg City Islanders played to a 0-0 draw in the first edition of this season’s Keystone Derby Cup on Monday night at Highmark Stadium.

  • 07/01/16 City Islanders Prepare for First Round of 2016 Keystone Derby

    Harrisburg, PA (July 1, 2016) – The time has finally come for the City Islanders and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds to face-off in the 2016 K&L Gates and  Pennsylvania Lottery Keystone Derby.  The Pennsylvania rivals were scheduled to play earlier this season on April 9 at the Riverhounds’s Highmark Stadium but inclement weather in Western PA lead to a postponed match.

  • 06/29/16 City Islanders Kickoff 2016 Keystone Derby in Pittsburgh Monday

    The first leg of the K&L Gates and Pennsylvania Lottery Keystone Derby Cup will finally take place between City Islanders FC and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds almost three months after the game was supposed to be played.
    The two cross-state rivals will renew their rivalry with the first of three matches on Monday, July 4 in Pittsburgh at Highmark Stadium.

  • 06/25/16 MATCH REPORT: City Islanders Score Early But Unable to Hold Off Late Charlotte Attack

    Harrisburg, PA (June 25, 2016) – City Islanders FC suffered the sixth straight loss of the season in a contentious 3-1 match against the Charlotte Independence on Saturday afternoon at FNB Field.
    After inclement weather and unsatisfactory field conditions stalled the game the previous night, the two teams were finally able to get their final meeting of the season underway a day later.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The United Soccer League formally welcomed its new Nashville franchise to the league today in a downtown public celebration that included Nashville Mayor Megan Barry and the team’s ownership group. The franchise revealed that the team would be known as Nashville FC and would immediately begin accepting ticket deposits for its inaugural 2018 campaign.

  • 06/21/16 MATCH REPORT: Late Rally Not Enough, Islanders Fall to FC Montreal 2-3

    Harrisburg, PA (June 21, 2016) – City Islanders FC did everything they could to make an improbable comeback, but ultimate fell to Montreal FC 3-2 in front of 1,846 fans on Tuesday night at FNB Field.
    The Islanders dug themselves a three goal hole early in the second half after giving up two quick goals just minutes apart.

  • 06/20/16 MATCH PREVIEW: City Islanders Begin FNB Series Tuesday

    City Islanders FC will return home for the first time in over a month to try to snap a four game losing streak and get back into the USL playoff hunt when they welcome in FC Montreal Tuesday, June 21 at 7 p.m. in FNB Field.

  • 06/16/16 City Islanders’ Open Cup Comeback Crushed in Stoppage Time

    CHESTER, Pa. – The Harrisburg City Islanders surged back with two goals in the final 11 minutes to level the score, but a stoppage-time free kick by Ronald Alberg gave the Philadelphia Union a dramatic 3-2 victory in the Fourth Round of the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday night at Talen Energy Stadium.

    HARRISON, N.J. – Sean Davis’ rebound was all the offense the New York Red Bulls II would need as they held the Harrisburg City Islanders at bay the rest of the way for a 1-0 victory on Thursday at Red Bull Arena. With the win, NYRBII moved alongside Louisville City FC atop the Eastern Conference in points with identical 8-1-3 records and 27 points.

    Harrisburg, PA (May 31, 2016) – City Islanders will travel to Tennessee and be hosted by NPSL-side Chattanooga FC in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday June 1, 2016.

    In the first two games of the week City was able to find quality form early to take a 2-0 lead in both games before the end of the first 45 minutes.

    Harrisburg, PA (May 24, 2016) – City Islanders FC picked up their second USL win in three days and their third win over all with a 2-1 win over Toronto FC II at Clipper Magazine Stadium in front of an attendance 1,531 on Tuesday night.
    Paul Wilson and Aaron Wheeler duplicated City’s efforts from Sunday night by combining for two quick goal in the first half.
