Bill Esterly

Position: Video Analytics Technician

The Harrisburg City Islanders welcome Bill Esterly to the team in 2017.

Bill Esterly has been coaching collegiate and youth soccer in central
PA for much of the last twenty years. His coaching adventure began
while he was the assistant coach at Millersville University and
includes time at York College, Gettysburg College, and Franklin and
Marshall College.

Besides his role with the Islanders, Esterly is a part of the EPYSA
Olympic Development Program staff and will join the coaching staff at
LDC United for the 2017-2018 season.

Esterly has also recently served as the Technical Director for
Capital Area Soccer Association, where he was named the 2016 EPYSA
Youth Soccer Administrator of the Year.

During his time as a collegiate coach, he spent five years as the
women’s head coach at Franklin and Marshall College. Esterly began
the process of rebuilding the program during which time he led the
team to their first postseason appearance in nine years.

Furthermore, Bill has spent time with the LANCO Soccer League and
Lanco United Soccer Club. Esterly holds a variety of coaching
licenses including an USSF “B” License and an Advanced National
Diploma from the NSCAA.​
