Veteran goalkeeper Nick Noble returns to Harrisburg for his sixth season in the net.
Noble had a successful 2016 season with Harrisburg appearing in 17 games for 1530 minutes and recording only 1 shutout. Since joining the club in 2012, Noble has made 121 total appearances for the Islanders.
In 2013, Noble’s season moved him into the lead spot for multiple City Islanders all-time records, including wins by a goalkeeper and career shutouts. Now, in his sixth year with the club, Noble hopes to produce another impressive season on the pitch.
Prior to joining the Islanders in 2012, Noble spent a portion of his career competing in the MLS and in Europe. He was a first-round draft pick by Chicago Fire in the 2007 MLS Supplement Draft and debuted for the team during the 2008 U.S. Open Cup. After spending time with both Chicago Fire and Austin Aztec for his first three professional seasons, Noble made 59 appearances for Ljungskile in Sweden. He returned to the U.S. and signed a contract with the L.A. Galaxy at the end of 2011.
Noble is a graduate of West Virginia University, where he was a four-year standout net-minder and was named the Big East Goalkeeper of the Year in 2006.
