  • 08/05/17 USL Match Recap: Islanders return home short of 3 points

    ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Rowdies cruised to a 3-0 victory against the Harrisburg City Islanders on Saturday night at Al Lang Stadium. Neither side created much early, but the Rowdies took the lead in the 15th minute when a corner kick flicked on by Justin Chavez fell to Neill Collins just outside the six-yard area, and the center back knocked home his second goal of the season.

  • 07/15/17 MATCH RECAP: Islanders Win Second Straight At Home

    The Harrisburg City Islanders were able to grab a late goal to get their second win in a row and fourth in five games in a 1-0 match against the Richmond Kickers on Saturday night.
    The two long-time USL rivals played a physical defensive game for the majority of the match. Neither team was able to find the final quality to put any challenge on the opposing goalkeeper.

  • 07/13/17 ABC27 to Broadcast Islanders Match and First Ever Flyover, Saturday, July 15

    The Harrisburg City Islanders announced today that their matchup against the Richmond Kickers on Saturday, July 15 will be broadcast live on ABC27.
    ABC27’s Sports Director Gregg Mace will call the game live with Gary Sutton. Mace has covered the Islanders since their inception in 2004 and has called play-by-play for soccer games on ESPN and Fox Soccer Channel.

  • 07/11/17 MATCH PREVIEW: Islanders Take on Red Bulls II in Last Meeting of the Season, July 12

    After posting two wins in their last three matches the Harrisburg City Islanders return home on Wednesday, July 12 at 7 p.m. to take on the New York Red Bulls II at FNB Field.
    Harrisburg comes back to FNB Field with a renewed chance for a playoff spot after taking six points out of a possible nine in their last three games.

    Harrisburg, PA (February 20, 2017) – Harrisburg City Islanders Forward Garret Pettis announced his retirement from professional soccer after 5 seasons with the Harrisburg franchise. Pettis joined the club in 2012 after finishing a stellar collegiate career at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.

    Harrisburg, Pa (November 3, 2016) – The Harrisburg City Islanders are pleased to loan City forward James “Jamie” Thomas to the Baltimore Blast for the 2016 indoor season.
    Thomas signed with the Islanders in 2016 after spending the 2015 season with Harrisburg’s New York rivals, the New York Red Bulls II.
